I know exactly how difficult it may be to grow out your hair, and although it may seem impossible at times, following a few tips will help make a difference. When I was in my teenage years, I always wanted long, shiny locks, but my hair would not grow past my chest area. It would be sooo frustrating! It was not until later on that I understood that everything that I was doing to my hair was actually contributing to the lack of hair growth. It’s time for some of us who claim to want healthier hair to reevaluate our choices and begin making positive changes to our hair care. Trust me it’s not easy, but you will get there.
Tip 1: Less is More! This is probably the most important tip of all but it may be easier said than done! Seriously, put the hair dye and curling iron down and think about all the things you do to your hair on a weekly basis. I understand that we all go through life changes and sometimes our hair becomes an expression of that change, but you don’t have to dye your hair every month to express those changes….your hair is NOT a mood ring! I wanted to share my monthly favorites for (March) today. They include beauty, fashion, and hair!! What’s not to love?! I’ve been using these products for a while now that I can call them my favorites. Let’s begin… (more…)
I am back with my beauty and one unrelated (still awesome) favorites for you today! I have been trying different products, and I’m so excited to show you what I have been loving this past month! So let’s get the party started…
Just sharing another outfit of the day and a new hair update with you! I took these pictures earlier today after getting my hair cut and dyed. I do not typically visit the hair salon, but I really want to gradually lighten my hair for the summertime. Since I do not want to damage my hair all at once, I’m taking baby steps by highlighting my hair every few months. I know it may not seem like much of a difference, but that is kind of what I love about it. My hairstylist knows exactly how to blend the highlights with the rest of my hair making it appear completely natural. I’m such a fan of hers! Its so hard finding a person who you trust completely with your hair and I believe I have found… the one haha!
When I think of the perfect glossy red lip, the first thing that comes to mind are candy apples! If you know me quite well, you know that red lips are my staple for almost every occasion. I simply can’t get over them! You could literally get away with wearing very minimal makeup and still look fabulous by simply adding a bold red lip. Also, red lipstick with blue undertones make your teeth appear like beautiful pearly whites and who doesn’t love a quick whitening?
The most trusty red lipsticks that I typically wear include MAC’s Ruby Woo and my all time favorite Russian Red! Although these lipsticks are amazing and are also decently priced, they are somewhat too drying (Ruby Woo) and a bit too dark (Russian Red) for the upcoming spring season. I must say that matte red lipsticks will most likely always be my top pick, but wearing a glossy red lip may be the best choice for spring!
I wanted to recreate this spring red lip, providing you with the alternative of using both high end and budget friendly products. So whether you want to splurge on this perfect lip or simply achieve this look without breaking your budget, I have the look for you! (more…)
